AJ Park chairman of partners, John Hackett, has once again topped the Asia-Pacific ranks of the prestigious Who's Who Legal Trademarks 2015. This is the second year in which John has been recognised by Who's Who as the top trade mark lawyer in the region. He is joined by AJ Park managing partner, Damian Broadley, who features as one of just seven trade mark lawyers singled out for New Zealand.
The prestigious publication refers to John's 'sector-leading experience' in assisting major clients in New Zealand and overseas with the management of their trade mark portfolios. John is also praised by clients for his 'commercially tailored approach to specific brand issues'. Described as a 'trusted resource', Damian Broadley's experience dealing with clients across a range of sectors is also highlighted.
Who's Who Legal is an independently researched publication that identifies the world's leading legal practitioners in various practice areas. This year, Who's Who Legal Trademarks 2015 recognises 911 lawyers from 473 firms in 82 countries, including seven lawyers and two barristers from New Zealand, and 28 lawyers from Australia.
The report's analysis of global industry trends, concludes that the protection and monetisation of trade marks continues to be a major priority for companies around the world.
