Kieran is a solicitor in our trade marks team in Wellington. Kieran specialises in all aspects of trade marks and related intellectual property law.

Kieran provides advice to New Zealand and overseas clients on intellectual property matters in New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific Islands. He advises clients in a number of industries, including fashion, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, and finance.

Kieran:

• advises on the availability and eligibility of trade marks for registration, and infringement matters
• files and prosecutes trade mark applications in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands for both local and overseas clients
• conducts domain name searches and resolves domain name ownership disputes
• deals with border protection matters
• advises on trade mark and portfolio management.

Before joining A J Park, Kieran worked in the UK where he provided intellectual property advice for licensing and merchandising, television production, film distribution, and sports and leisure goods. Kieran has also worked on intellectual property issues for the New Zealand Government, including legislation and free trade agreements.

Kieran is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
